Bella is very fair-skinned, with long, straight, dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. Her face is heart-shaped—a wide forehead with a widow's peak, large, wide-spaced eyes, prominent cheekbones, and then a thin nose and a narrow jaw with a pointed chin. Her lips are a little out of proportion, a bit too full for her jaw line. Her eyebrows are darker than her hair and more straight than they are arched. She's five foot four inches tall, slender but not at all muscular, and weighs about 115 pounds. She has stubby fingernails because she has a nervous habit of biting them. Bella is described as being exceptionally clumsy. She is intelligent, has a dry sense of humor, and is very understanding and caring. She hates dressing up, saying that makeup "is a pain" and that she feels uncomfortable in impractical, elegant clothes. She has a very private mind, which is thought to be why Edward is unable to see her thoughts, and she is determined to become a vampire. She is also said to be a terrible liar, but occasionally demonstrates good acting ability. She also gets faint at the sight or smell of blood. Stephenie Meyer has stated that Bella's "tragic flaw" in Eclipse is her lack of self-knowledge.After being turned into a vampire, she describes having a more clear view of the world. She is also very self-controlled as a vampire, being able to run away from the scent of human blood. Bella's private mind that rejected some vampires' special abilities while she was human evolved after she became a vampire. Her ability formed into allowing her to shield those around her from the mental powers of some other vampires. She is also described by Edward as "very graceful" as a vampire, in comparison to her earlier clumsiness.
Edward Cullen was born Edward Anthony Masen on June 20, 1901 to Edward Sr. and Elizabeth Masen. He and his parents contracted the Spanish influenza during an epidemic that devastated Chicago, Illinois in 1918. Orphaned and nearly dead from the disease, Edward was changed into a vampire by one of the physicians caring for him, Carlisle Cullen, acting on the directions from his loving, dying mother to "save him". From that point onward, Carlisle raised Edward as his son, instilling in Edward a morality unusual among the vampires of. Central to this way of life is a refusal to consider humans as food. Edward had a rebellious period near the beginning of his life as a vampire, and used his mind-reading abilities to prey on only the worst of society. However, after a few years he became guilt-ridden and returned to Carlisle and his way of life. Edward and his vampire family, which includes his parents Carlisle and Esme and siblings Alice, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett, often come into conflict with other vampires as a result of this morality, which goes against their natural vampyric nature. A particular source of conflict is Edward's relationship with the human Isabella "Bella" Swan.
He is described as a Native American of the Quileute (pronounced Quil-yoot) tribe. During New Moon, he undergoes a transformation that enables him to phase into a werewolf. To all extents and purposes, he can be considered Edward Cullen's foil. In Breaking Dawn, it is said that because he and his pack members are not bound by the moon, they are not true werewolves but shapeshifters that happen to turn into wolves.Jacob has dark russet skin, black hair and dark eyes. In Twilight, he is described as a lanky fifteen-year-old with a long black ponytail and is barely taller than Bella; however, by the end of Twilight and the beginning of New Moon, he has grown over six feet tall. By Eclipse, Jacob has grown to be 6'7" tall, with a toned and muscular build. He also, physically, is around the age of twenty-five. In New Moon, after discovering that he is a werewolf and joining the Quileute pack, he crops his long hair short. He later grows it out to chin length in Eclipse because he thinks Bella prefers it that way. He is said to be quite good-looking, often being described by Bella as beautiful. He tends to wear only cut-off style jeans, since clothes are often ruined during transformation. As a wolf, Jacob's fur is a russet color. In Breaking Dawn he cuts his hair short again and it seems that he has grown even more tall.
Carlisle Cullen was the son of an Anglican pastor, born in 1640s London, England during a time of religious upheaval. Carlisle's father and other pastors led hunts for werewolves, witches, and vampires, saying that they were attempting to rid the world of evil and sin, but many a time, these groups would end up killing innocent citizens, mistaking them for actual vampires, werewolves, etc. As his father aged, Carlisle was put in charge of the raids for these creatures. He was less at ease about killing and more logical and patient in making accusations than his father was, and was intelligent enough to find a real coven of vampires inhabiting the sewers of London. At the age of twenty-three, Carlisle led the hunt for these vampires and in the chaos that ensued he was attacked and left bleeding in the street by a vampire. Knowing that he would not be welcomed back home and would be most likely killed, Carlisle hid himself in a potato cellar, managing to stay silent for the entire three-day duration of his incredibly painful transformation, and emerged afterwards as a vampire.
Carlisle was repulsed and horrified by what he had become, and tried various ways of killing himself, including starvation, drowning, and jumping off cliffs. None worked due to the immense strength and power a newborn vampire possesses. Eventually he was so desperate for blood that while he was hiding in a cave in a forest he attacked and fed on a herd of passing deer. He found that he could survive off animal blood and he considered this much more humane than drinking the blood of humans. Carlisle found new life in this fact and for over two centuries was able to perfect his ability to resist the blood lust caused by the scent of human blood. During these two centuries Carlisle studied books at night, using his knowledge at daytime. As a result of his meticulous studying, Carlisle was able to become a brilliant doctor. In this new career, Carlisle found the means to atone for his previous sins by saving human lives instead of taking them.
Carlisle was studying in Italy when he stumbled across a coven of ancient vampires called the Volturi, also known as 'nighttime patrons of the arts', that included three vampires named Aro, Marcus, and Caius. They were much more educated and refined vampires than those living in the sewers of London, but still drank human blood. Even though they attempted to convert Carlisle back to his natural food source and he, in turn, tried to convince them to turn to animal blood instead of human blood, both failed to convince the other. Carlisle then moved on to the New World where he ended up working in Chicago during the Spanish Influenza pandemic, taking the much detested night shifts as he felt guilty going home and pretending to sleep while there were lives to be saved and work to be done. During this epidemic, Carlisle encountered a dying mother named Elizabeth Masen. Her son, Edward, was dying of the Influenza as well. Elizabeth begged Carlisle to do anything within his power to save her son, as she lay dying. Carlisle later suspected that her request was born both from a desire to save her son's life and from the suspicion that Carlisle had means of helping Edward that no one else possessed. Out of loneliness, and with the knowledge that Edward was alone in the world, he changed him into a vampire and Edward became his companion. Soon after, in 1921, Carlisle moved to Wisconsin where he treated Esme, after a failed suicide attempt brought on by the loss of her child. Carlisle felt compelled to save her life and turned her into a vampire, consequently falling in love with her, and marrying her later on.
Esme Cullen (born Esme Anne Platt and later Esme Anne Evenson) is the motherly figure of the Cullens. She is wife to Carlisle Cullen and a mother figure to Edward Cullen, Alice Cullen, Rosalie Hale, Emmett Cullen and Jasper Hale, her adopted children and fellow vampires. She is also the owner of a South American island, named Isle Esme, which she allowed Edward and Bella to spend their honeymoon on. Esme was born some time in 1895. Little is known about her early life, except that she lived near the outskirts of Columbus. She met Dr. Carlisle Cullen for the first time when she was 16 and had just broken her leg climbing a tree. He soon moved out of town, but Esme never forgot the experience. While she initially wanted to move West to become a school teacher, she was pressured by her parents to remain and marry. At the age of 22 she married Charles Evenson, hoping to please her parents and willing to attempt to be happy, but soon realized that her husband was an abusive man. Her parents coached her to keep face, and much to her relief, her husband got drafted during World War I. A while after he came back she found out that she was pregnant, which gave her motive to run away. She fled north to live with her sister and became a teacher, and in 1921 her son was born, but he subsequently died a few days later of a lung infection. After the baby's death, Esme felt that she no longer had any reason to live. She tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, and was presumed dead when she was brought into the morgue, though her heart was still beating. Dr. Cullen was working in the area at the time and recognized her as the happy, beautiful young girl he had treated ten years earlier. Carlisle decided to change her into a vampire as she was dying. Esme then married Carlisle and she joined the Cullens' coven. She openly welcomed Bella as a part of their "family" because of her warm nature, and has always treated the rest of the Cullens like this as well. She has a special spot in her heart for Edward because he was the first of her adoptive children, and he's been the "odd man out for so long" until he met Bella. Esme is an extremely warm individual who is gifted with the ability to love passionately. She is described as being 5'6", with caramel colored hair. In Breaking Dawn, Jacob Black notes that she unexpectedly has dimples in her "stone face". Like the rest of the Cullen family she has golden eyes that fade to black when she is thirsty, pale skin that sparkles in the sunlight, and purple circles under her eyes that fade when she is well-fed. She has a heart-shaped face and her figure is described as being slender, but rounded and softer. Bella describes her as being similar to "one of the ingenues of the silent movie era." Esme has always had a maternal ache in her, allowing her to open her heart to her adoptive children and to Bella.
Jasper Hale, formerly known as Jasper Whitlock, was born in 1843 and grew up in Houston, Texas. In 1860 when he was almost seventeen, he lied about his age, stating he was 20, and joined the Confederate States Army to serve in the Civil War. Due to his intense charisma, he quickly rose through the ranks and became the youngest Major in Texas, even without considering his real age. Jasper was turned into a vampire in 1863 by a vampire named Maria, when he was 20 years old. Maria was fighting a territorial war for claim on big cities in the south, such as Mexico City. Maria recognized that Jasper was high-ranking in the army, and therefore already had some knowledge of combat skills. She wanted a strong male vampire who could fight alongside her. When Maria found out about his peculiar ability to control the emotions of those around him, she found him even more useful. Jasper's responsibility was to train the young vampires and then kill them when they were no longer useful to Maria, usually after about a year when their strength had begun to fade. After about a century of this, he grew weary of the lifestyle. An old vampire colleague of his, named Peter, persuaded him to escape from Maria. For a time, he wandered with Peter and his companion, Charlotte, but soon came to feel remorse for his prey because he experienced their emotions as he took their lives. As a result, he ran away and wandered on his own until he found Alice Cullen, whom he later recognized as his true love, waiting for him in a half-empty diner in Philadelphia. She had seen through her prescience The Cullens tell humans that Jasper is Rosalie's twin brother; for this purpose, they both use Rosalie's surname of "Hale". Out of the whole coven, Jasper has the hardest time being around humans, due to his untrained upbringing as a young vampire in an army environment. He was not taught control or how to regulate his blood lust. Edward states that all human blood is equally tempting to Jasper, unlike the rest of the family, who can notice the variations in blood scent in different humans. Jasper is 6'3" and has golden honey blond hair. He is muscular but lean. Like the other Cullens, he has pale, marble-like skin and bruise-like purple shadows under his eyes, which appear gradually as his thirst increases. He has golden eyes, like all animal-feeding ("vegetarian") vampires, which turn darker, eventually becoming black, as he grows thirstier. He has many crescent-shaped scars on his body from the bites of vampires he fought on Maria's behalf. The white scars are invisible to humans unless contrasted by a strong light, but are very noticeable when viewed by a vampire.they would find the Cullens and live there together in relative peace.
Alice's early history is very vague, as she remembers nothing of her human life and woke up as a vampire, all alone. It is eventually revealed that she was born around 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi and was kept in an asylum because she had premonitions, which intensified into her "special ability" when she was changed into a vampire. While at the asylum she was kept always in a dark cell, which was another reason why she remembered so little. Alice was changed by an old vampire who worked at the asylum (and did not survive) in order to protect her from James, a tracker vampire who was hunting her. She and Bella are the only two people to ever escape James. After doing some research, Alice found her grave and discovered that the date on her tombstone matched the date of her admission to the asylum (she had stolen her file from their records), perhaps implying that she was 'dead' to her family when they confined her there. Through her research she additionally discovered that she had a little sister named Cynthia, and that Cynthia's daughter, Alice's niece, is still alive in Biloxi.
Alice foresaw Jasper Hale finding her in a vision before he even knew he was looking for her. They met face-to-face in a diner located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she told him that she had been waiting a long time for his arrival. A little bewildered but intrigued with her knowing him, Jasper "bowed his head like a good southern gentleman" and answered, "I'm sorry, ma'am." She offered him her hand, a non-verbal question of whether or not he would like to go with her. He did indeed take her hand, as the sight of it brought him hope "for the first time in almost a century". During their companionship and travels, Alice and Jasper fell in love. By 1950, they found Carlisle with more assistance from her visions and have been part of his coven ever since.
Alice and Jasper have been together since the 1950s, but are not as flamboyant about their relationship as Rosalie and Emmett are. They are stated to be soul mates and have been married legally once. Their distinctly understanding love is what separates them from other couples, and they are both very protective of each other.
Alice shares many of the physical traits associated with Twilight vampires, such as inhuman beauty, pale skin, golden eyes (which deepen to black depending as thirst increases) and deep purple shadows under her eyes. She is described as being petite, the shortest of the Cullens at 4'10", "thin in the extreme", with small, "pixie-like" features. Her hair is described as cropped short, spiky, and black. She moves gracefully, continually cited as dancing, with a carriage that would "break any ballerina's heart", as described by Bella in Twilight.
Emmett Dale McCarty was the youngest in a large family with Scotch-Irish ancestry. He was 20 and living in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1935 when he was mauled by a bear. The injuries from the attack were severe and he was found by Rosalie Hale who was hunting in the area at the time. Rosalie carried him over a hundred miles to Appalachia where Carlisle Cullen was, asking him to spare Emmett's life by turning him into a vampire. Emmett described the experience as being saved by an angel who brought him to God, saying in a deleted scene from Twilight that "Hell's not so bad if you get to keep an angel with you." Rosalie has stated that she saved Emmett because his innocent appearance reminded her of her friend's child, Henry. Emmett took the news of becoming a vampire in stride, saying, "If Carlisle and Rosalie, my angels, were vampires, how bad could it be?" He did, however, have trouble adjusting to the Cullen family diet at first. His adopted brother Edward has mentioned that Emmett has "fallen off the wagon" before. Emmett is described as being tall, burly, and extremely muscular, and– to most humans– the most intimidating of his adoptive siblings. Standing at 6'5", he is the tallest of the Cullens. He is described as having slightly curly, dark hair and dimpled cheeks. Like the rest of the Cullens, he has pale skin and golden eyes that darken as he becomes more thirsty, as is usual for vampires that live on the "vegetarian" diet.
Rosalie Lillian Hale was born in Rochester, NY in 1915. She had two younger brothers, a housewife for a mother, and a father who worked at a bank. Her father's job helped keep the family wealthy during the Great Depression. She was born beautiful and thus was constantly praised, making her vain and conceited, and like her social-climbing parents, wanting more out of life.
One day Rosalie's mother had her dress up to deliver her father's forgotten lunch to him at work, hoping that the son of the bank's owner would take an interest in Rosalie. It worked, and Royce King the Second sent roses to Rosalie and, after making a comment that her eyes were like violets, began sending her those as well. Their relationship was solely based on physical attraction, as Royce was always very busy at the bank. They became engaged, and two months later, just before the wedding, Rosalie visited her good friend Vera, who Rosalie envied for her baby boy, Henry. When she saw Vera's husband kiss Vera, Rosalie finally realized the lack of love in her relationship with Royce, but quickly dismissed it. While walking home, Rosalie stumbled across Royce and his friends, who were all intoxicated. Royce bragged about his fiancée's beauty, leading to Rosalie being beaten and presumably raped.
Rosalie, whom Royce left to die in the streets, was found by Carlisle, who was drawn to her by the scent of her spilled blood. Taking pity on her, he carried her home and made her a vampire. Three days later, Rosalie's unhappy outlook improved when she saw her beautiful reflection in a mirror. She soon avenged herself by killing all those who had hurt her. Having saved Royce for last, Rosalie donned a stolen bridal gown and found her terrified fiancé locked in a windowless room with a thick, vault-like door guarded by two men after hearing of his friends being killed. After killing the guards, Rosalie entered the room and tortured Royce to death. She did not, however, drink his blood, and is proud that she has, as she puts it "almost as clean a record as Carlisle". She later states that the reason that she didn't drink Royce's blood was because she didn't want to have any of him inside her.
While living with the Cullens in Forks, Rosalie plays the role of the twin sister of Jasper Hale (she prefers to use her real last name rather than Cullen). She has a skill for vehicle mechanics and enjoys toying with car parts; she owns a red BMW M3 convertible but usually goes to school in Edward's silver Volvo (as do all of the Cullens) to try and remain inconspicuous.
Carlisle believes that a certain characteristic is intensified once you become a vampire; although Edward tells Bella he thinks Rosalie's characteristic is her tenacity, it is most likely her beauty that had been intensified. She is still regretful of being turned into a vampire, even though it saved her life and lead her to find her true love.
Renesmee "Nessie" Carlie Cullen is the half vampire, half human daughter of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, first seen in Breaking Dawn. Her name is derived from the amalgamation of the names of Bella's biological mother, Renée, and Edward's adoptive mother, Esme. Her middle name, Carlie, is a combination of the names Carlisle, Edward's adoptive father, and Charlie, Bella's biological father. She has the same facial features and hair color as Edward, but the curly hair of her grandfather, Charlie Swan. and the brown eyes of Bella. Jacob Black gave her the nickname "Nessie" because he considers her full name too much of a mouthful; by the end of the book, all of the characters have adopted this shortened version. She has pale skin that glows instead of sparkles in the sunlight. Her heart pumps blood, giving her a blush. Renesmee can survive on both blood and human food, but prefers human blood. She does not have venom. Her special abilities are that she is able to send someone a memory by touching their face and can break any shield. Renesmee grows at a fast rate, being able to speak only 7 days after birth. She will reach physical maturity in 7 years and will stop aging.
Charlie Swan
Charlie Swan is the father of Bella Swan and his occupation is a police officer. His hobbies include fishing as well as watching various sports on TV. Charlie married Bella's mother, Renée, just after they both graduated high school and they later had Bella. Renée divorced Charlie soon after and moved to Phoenix, Arizona with Bella. Charlie was still in love with her, but had gotten past the fact that she didn't love him. He became accustomed to living alone, except when Bella started to visit him in the summer. When Bella was seventeen, she moved to Forks to live with him. Initially, Charlie was accepting of Edward, but after the events of New Moon he blames Edward for the deep depression that Bella went into after he left her, and holds a grudge against him as a result. Charlie is grateful to Jacob because he was a great friend to Bella during that difficult time, and has made it clear that he'd rather Bella choose Jacob over Edward. At the end of Eclipse, Bella and Edward agree to tell Charlie about their engagement. At the beginning of Breaking Dawn, he is shown to have reluctantly agreed to the marriage. Charlie stays in Bella's life after her transformation, though is never informed that she is a vampire. And at the end of Breaking Dawn, he and Sue Clearwater have a romantic relationship.
Charlie is portrayed by Billy Burke in the Twilight film.
Billy Black
Billy Black is Jacob Black's father, born and raised in La Push, and an elder in the Quileute tribe. He is described as being heavyset, having a wrinkled face and russet skin, in a wheelchair, and having black hair and black eyes. His other family members include his twin daughters, Rachel and Rebecca, and his deceased wife, Sarah. Billy Black is directly descended from the last chief of the Quileute tribe, Ephraim Black, who was his grandfather, causing his son, Jacob Black, to have werewolf blood in him. One of Billy's best friends in Forks is Bella Swan's father, Charlie Swan. Once Billy was crippled from an illness and forced to be in a wheelchair, Billy sold his truck to Charlie to give to Bella. At the end of Twilight he bribed Jacob to go and try to convince Bella to break up with Edward. He plays a minor role in Breaking Dawn.
Billy Black is portrayed by Gil Birmingham in the Twilight film.
Shapeshifters/Werewolves
At the end of Breaking Dawn, it is revealed that the Quileute tribe "werewolves" are not true werewolves at all because they don't transform on the full moon. Instead, they are shapeshifters and the Children of the Moon were the true werewolves.
Sam Uley
Sam is the leader of the La Push pack. In his wolf form he has black fur. Before becoming a werewolf, he was romantically involved with Leah Clearwater, his high school sweetheart. His relationship with her started to fall apart after his transformation, because he was forbidden to tell Leah what he had become. Their relationship ended when Sam imprinted on Leah's second cousin, Emily, and went back on every promise he had ever made to Leah. According to Jacob, Sam feels guilty for betraying her and responsible for the bitter person Leah has become. She causes some distress in the group as she constantly thinks about this matter. When he phases he is a pure black wolf and the biggest, until Breaking Dawn when it is noted that Jacob has grown taller than him. Soloman Trimble has been cast to portray Sam in the upcoming Twilight film.[3]
Quil Ateara
Quil has chocolate brown fur. He is a member of the werewolf pack and Jacob's "wingman", he is mentioned in passing in the first novel of the series but becomes somewhat of a regular character as of New Moon. Unlike a few other members of the pack, he was happy about becoming a werewolf, since it allowed him to finally have his friends back and understand what was going on. Quil is one of the five wolves of the pack who have imprinted; he imprinted on Emily's two-year-old niece, Claire. Although this seems to cause something of a scandal, Jacob explains that there is currently nothing romantic about it, and that Quil will be whatever Claire needs him to be for the rest of her life– whether it be a brother, a friend, a protector or a lover.
Embry Call
Embry is another one of Jacob's "wingmen". He appears briefly in New Moon and Eclipse. Embry calls Bella Swan "vampire girl" because she hangs out with the Cullen family. His mother was a woman of the Makah tribe, not the Quileutes; since the werewolf traits are inherited from father to son, he is probably the half brother of Quil Ateara, Jacob Black, or Sam Uley. This causes some stress within the pack, since all of these men's fathers were married before and at the time of his birth.
Paul
Paul is prone to angry outbursts, which cause him to burst into his wolf form. Paul is one of the bigger wolves with dark grey hair. He is the most volatile member of the pack, and became so enraged when he learned that Jacob told Bella about the pack that he turned into a werewolf and attempted to attack her. He currently seems to have no ill feelings towards Bella or Jacob. Early in Book 2 of Breaking Dawn, Paul is shown to have imprinted on Jacob's older sister, Rachel. This annoys Billy and Jacob because he is always at their house eating their food; however, Billy is happy that Rachel is sticking around longer because of Paul.
Jared
Jared was the first werewolf to phase after the pack's leader, Sam Uley. He is one of the five werewolves to imprint: he imprinted on a girl he sat next to in class, Kim. Before he was a werewolf, he never paid any attention to her. After his transformation, he looked at her once and imprinted.
Leah Clearwater
Leah is the only female member of the La Push pack. One of the smallest light grey wolves. She transformed into a werewolf during the events of New Moon, around the same time as her brother, Seth. This transformation is believed to be what caused the heart attack and death of their father, Harry. She dated Sam Uley for years, until her cousin Emily came to visit and Sam imprinted on her. Sam thus left Leah for Emily. She believes that Sam betrayed her, but she still longs for him. Leah is thus very bitter and cynical, and constantly antagonizes the pack by thinking about things that the other pack members want to avoid dwelling on, such as Embry's parentage. She also likes to antagonize Jacob by bringing up the fact that Bella is marrying a vampire and will shortly become one, and to get over her when it is clear that Jacob is still in love with Bella. In Breaking Dawn, Leah joins Jacob's pack with the intentions of breaking free of Sam since she is still heart broken. She shares with Jacob several beliefs and insecurities she has, such as why Sam imprinted on Emily, her infertility, and not being able to be in higher rank because of her gender. As she spends more time in Jacob's pack she makes noteable changes in her attitude and personality, she expresses she is happy and therefore isn't as troubling and negative. Later in the book it is shown that Jacob and Leah's antogonism towards each other changes to a trusted comradeship in which she stands up for him, protects him and becomes his second in command. She is acknowledged as being physically attractive by Jacob and Bella even calls her beautiful. She stands at 6'1" and is described as a tomboy with short hair, which used to be long "silky and beautiful" as described by Bella in New Moon. When in wolf form, Edward describes her as a "smaller gray wolf."
Seth Clearwater
Seth is Leah's younger brother, and a member of the La Push pack. He has sandy brown colored fur. He transformed into a werewolf during the events of New Moon, around the same time as his sister, Leah. In Eclipse he was shown to idolize Jacob Black, and is said to remind Bella of a younger Jacob. During the newborn attack in Eclipse, Seth stayed with Bella and Edward, due to his young age of only fifteen, to act as a connection to the pack. When Victoria and Riley appeared, Seth fought and destroyed Riley with Edward's help. Seth is mentioned in the first chapter of Breaking Dawn when Bella calls him to check on Jacob. Seth tells Bella that they know that Jacob is somewhere in Northern Canada, but the pack does not know precisely where he is located. He also tells Bella to say hello to Edward, with whom he has developed an unlikely friendship, and that he and his mother accept Bella and Edward's invitation to their wedding. Seth has yet to imprint on a girl unlike many of the members of the pack. Seth remains a constant variable throughout the final book in the series. He is the first werewolf to call all the Cullen's by name with complete comfort. He also has, according to Edward, very honest and pure thoughts, something that endears him to the Cullens, and Edward in particular. After Jacob breaks into his own pack, Seth quickly follows. He sticks by Jacob's side despite the fact that Jake wants him to go back. For most of Breaking Dawn, Seth is Jacob's second in command (beta). At the end of the book, his older sister Leah replaces him in this position.
Collin and Brady
Collin and Brady are two of the youngest wolves in the pack. In New Moon, they were said to have phased at the age of 13, and they later make an appearance in Breaking Dawn as part of Sam's pack. Collin is chosen over Embry to meet with Jake in an effort to make peace, which confuses Jake since he considers Collin a "kid".
Others
There were also another seven additional unknown wolves during the end of Breaking Dawn. These unknown wolves are believed to have been young considering how they were never shown before. The alleged reason for their appearance and being is due to all the visiting vampires present at the Cullen residence.
Renée Dwyer
Renée married Charlie right after high school, had his child (Bella) but left (with baby Bella) and divorced him soon after. Renée prefers a sunny city to a rainy small town. She's an eccentric, silly person that will brave new things (like skydiving) and come to her senses later. Bella felt she was the mother in their relationship; having to guide Renée from doing too ridiculous things. Renée thought of Bella as her middle-aged baby. After Renée remarried a much younger baseball player (Phil Dwyer), they traveled a lot, Bella didn't like it. Renée stayed with her daughter but missed Phil. Bella unselfishly sends herself to live with her dad( despite enjoying sunny weather like her mother). As Bella falls for Edward; she worries how her mother will react because she has always warned Bella about marriage before forty. Edward describes Renée's mind to be insightful, almost childish. After getting engaged in Breaking Dawn, Bella is scared to tell Renée but she (Renée) believes Bella to be more mature than other kids her age and thinks she can make it work better than most adults. Bella says she and her mother look alike but Renée has laugh lines. She lived in Arizona in Twilight, lived in Florida during the rest of the series.
Renée is portrayed by Sarah Clarke in the Twilight film.
